CleanHome doesn't run ads, doesn't have analytics or crash-tracking SDKs, and doesn't sell or share your data with anyone for marketing purposes. We collect the minimum needed to make the app work — your account info if you choose to sign in, and the household/task content you enter — nothing more.
What we collect
Account info — if you create an account to share a household (email, and a display name), via Firebase Authentication. Solo use requires no account at all.
Household content — the rooms, tasks, appliances, and supplies you enter, stored in our database so it syncs across your household's devices.
AI feature content — task and appliance names you ask for tips or a cleaning plan about are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate that response. This is tied only to an anonymous per-device identifier used for basic rate-limiting, not to your account or email.
We do not collect location, contacts, photos, browsing history, or any advertising identifiers, and there is no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app.
Who we share it with
We use two service providers to run the app, both processing data on our behalf under their own data-processing terms — neither uses your data for their own marketing or advertising purposes:
Firebase (Google) — authentication and database hosting.
Anthropic — generates AI cleaning tips and sprint plans from the task/appliance names described above.
We never sell your data, and we don't share it with any other third party.
Your controls
Delete your account — in the app, go to Household → Account → Delete account. This permanently removes your account and household membership.
Clear local data — Settings → Reset all data erases everything stored on your device.
Solo mode — you can use CleanHome fully offline with no account and nothing leaving your device, except for the specific task/appliance names you explicitly ask the AI features about.
Children's privacy
CleanHome is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
